First of all, I must apologize to you that I have not reported for so long, I was extremely sick and I was just not well. Today was the first day where I was ready to write again. It was important that I relax and with that we come to today’s topic of the post (which I will write a little shorter than usual because I’m still not feeling very well).

Even the most productive person in the world needs a break and relaxation.

Of course I don’t want to present myself as the most productive person in the world but rather explain the advantages and usefulness of breaks and relaxation phases.

I have to be honest and admit that my sickness phase probably comes from too much work and stress and that’s why I see it as my personal concern to spare you something like that and to teach you how to avoid it.

Basically, stress is to be avoided. On the one hand, we can do this with various techniques that I have already mentioned in different articles or have even gone into exactly said techniques.

If you notice that you are stressed, then you should just take a break. Do something that relaxes you. Even if some computer game or TikTok should relax you, you should avoid it during a break. You should want to continue working after your break, so do something that is not much more exciting than what you are working on.

Avoiding stress with this simple trick is already the first step to prevent burnout or lower your general stress level.

So here was a small cut because I have to stop writing again to continue to recover. I want to apologize again that this week has come so little.

But on with the text.

I wanted to get healthy to give you my subscribers the content you deserve. I took a simple break for that and now I am healthy again.

And you can also learn from my example that you should only end your break and dedicate yourself to your work again when you are really ready for it, otherwise you will be sick again one day later.

Your body will tell you when it can’t take it anymore and needs a break, but your goal should be to realize when you need a break before your body forces you to take a break.

So what can we learn from this?

Regular relaxation is absolutely necessary to prevent stress-related illness. And if it’s already too late, take a longer break so that you’re not sick again the next day, just like me.

It is important that you fight stress as a cause and not the symptoms. You have to realize what stresses you and how you can avoid it.

I can recommend you a journal in which you reflect on your day every evening. You write down what was good and what was bad in your day and in the following you reflect yourself and look for the deeper reason for it and as soon as you have found it you simply avoid it.

Now I could explain you detail by detail how to write your journal but I already did that in another post of mine so just have a look at that one.

You can bundle your stress and use it for your productivity. Sometimes stress can be useful too. It can help you reach your goals faster. Parkinson’s Law says that the length of the task is as long as you have given yourself time. This means that if you are short on time, you can use this to your advantage and complete the task in less time.

You can do the same with a bad mood and tell yourself to leave the bad behind and concentrate on the good, i.e. your task.

The most important thing is to identify and eliminate as much as possible the factors that cause you stress and live a peaceful and fulfilling life.

You must keep in mind that there are always factors that you cannot completely avoid. Some things, no matter how much they annoy you, are just part of life.

You can also avoid stress through acceptance. In the end it is always your attitude that causes stress and not the thing itself. So if you just accept the factors you can’t avoid instead of stressing yourself out, it will lead to a lot less stress and that’s what we want to achieve.

When you get into a stressful situation imagine a version of yourself that is calm and then become that. You can do that, it’s within your capabilities. I don’t expect you to float angelically in peace above the ground, but in a moment when you might be freaking out inside, keep calm and don’t freak out, but express your displeasure in a calm and objective way.

It is also not something that can be done right away. If your job as a whole stresses you out, you can’t just quit right away, that’s a thing that takes time. I would write a list with all the things that stress you or upset you and then work through them piece by piece. This can take time, the main thing is that you make progress.

You need a safe and solid anchor in your life. It doesn’t matter if it’s a person or a place. You always need something to look forward to when you are overwhelmed by stress in your life. If you have something to look forward to at the end of the day, your day is half as bad.

I hope I could help you a little bit with this post and in that case help you to avoid stress in the future. I look forward to your opinions in the comments because as you know for a writer like me feedback is the most important. Have a nice weekend.
